How do I place an order?

To place an order, browse our selection of teas and select the products you wish to purchase. Add them to your cart. Proceed to the checkout and enter your payment and delivery information, following the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept various payment methods including VISA, Mastercard, UnionPay, Maestro, AMEX, Elo, Discover, and others. Express checkout options with Shop Pay and Google Pay are also available.

What types of delivery do you offer?

Standard U.K. Delivery: Takes 3-5 working days, delivered by Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Express U.K. Delivery: Takes 1-2 working days, delivered by Royal Mail Tracked 24.

What is the minimum order value for free delivery?

Free delivery is available for orders with a minimum value of GBP 25.

Do you ship internationally?

Our online store is dedicated to customers within the United Kingdom. We do not offer international shipping at this time.

How can I track my order?

A tracking number will be provided via email upon dispatch. For those who have provided a valid UK mobile number, updates will also be sent via text message. 

What is your return policy?

Items eligible for return must be unopened, unused, in a re-saleable condition, with all tamper-resistant seals, packaging, and any cellophane intact. Our return policy is valid for 60 days from the purchase date. For more information, please visit our Return Policy page.

Where do your teas come from?

Our teas are blended and hand packed in our carbon-neutral facilities in Sri Lanka. English Tea Shop sources the majority of its teas and ingredients directly from over 1,400 small-scale organic farmers in Sri Lanka. Exclusive ingredients such as rooibos, chamomile, hibiscus, matcha, and peppermint are sourced from other countries, including Germany, South Africa, China, and Japan.

How should I store my tea to keep it fresh?

Store your tea away from direct sunlight in a cool and dry place.

What is the right way to brew my tea?

• Black tea: 100°C for 3-5 minutes
• Green tea: 80°C for 2-3 minutes
• White tea: 80°C for 2-3 minutes
• Botanical infusions: 100°C for 2-5 minutes

Are the teas suitable for vegans?

Yes, our products are suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.

Are all products compliant with EU organic regulation 2018/848?

Yes, all our products comply with the EU organic regulation 2018/848.

Are all teas 100% organic?

Yes, all our teas are 100% organic.

Are there any allergens present in the teas?

According to regulation (EC) 1169/2011, our teas do not contain any allergens.

Are the teas gluten-free and lactose-free?

Yes, all our teas are gluten-free and lactose-free.
